1920 burnley rob harker 00 500x500Played three, drawn three, that’s the record so far for the under-23s this season who this afternoon will be playing QPR on the Turf in game number four.

All three have had their frustrations. We were in front in both away games, firstly at Millwall and more recently at  Colchester, before being pegged back and in the home game, although we needed a late equaliser, it is hard to believe we didn’t beat Coventry after a dominant performance.

We’ll now be looking to get that first win against QPR who have won one of their three games but lost the other two. They were beaten at home by Crewe and then at Nottingham Forest but last Monday picked up their first points with a 4-3 win against Sheffield United at Harlington. They followed that up last week with a 4-1 home defeat against Brentford B in a friendly.

QPR beat us 3-2 on the first Monday in September last year when Ali Koiki and Rob Harker (pictured) scored our goals but the last home game between the two sides was in the 2017/18 season when an opener from Ntumba Massanka and two from Tinashe Chakwana gave us a 3-1 win in a game also played at the Turf.

There is no team news as yet but there is potential for Robbie Brady to step up his fitness with some game time.

Today’s game kicks off at 2 p.m. It is free to season ticket holders on production of their card. The charge for non-season ticket holders is £4 adults, £2 concessions and a ticket must be purchased from the ticket office.
