Defender Jimmy Dunne and winger Brad Jackson have both gone out on loan today with Dunne joining Barrow and Jackson making the move to Southport.

Dunne, who has been with the Clarets for a year after leaving Manchester United, will get his first taste of first team action in the National League at Barrow. The 19-year-old impressed last season in the development squad and joins a Barrow side who ended last season in seventh place in the National League table. He will be at Holker Street until January.

The 20-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan at Bangor and has now signed for a club who will be looking to bounce back after finishing last season next to bottom in the National League which led to their relegation.
