Dunne back at Burnley after injury
Central defender Jimmy Dunne has returned to Burnley for treatment after suffering an ankle ligament injury while training with Hearts.
Hearts’ boss Craig Levein revealed: “We had him scanned and unfortunately it looks like he is out for six weeks or so. It’s a training injury and it’s one of those things. It’s ankle ligaments.”
Levein added: “I was looking forward to getting Christophe (Berra) back to pair him alongside Jimmy at some point but obviously that’s not going to happen.”
Dunne broke the news yesterday when he tweeted: “Injuries are a part of football, currently getting my treatment back at Burnley but eager to get back out there as soon as possible.”
Dunne’s loan comes to an end next month but Levein revealed recently that he has an agreement in principle with Sean Dyche to keep him at Tynecastle until the end of the season.Share this page :
