Eagles flies into Boundary Park
Chris Eagles hasn’t played any football since January 2018 during a short spell with Ross County but he’s signed a one year contract today with League Two club Oldham Athletic.
Eagles has now reached the age of 33 and that will be the shirt number he will wear yet again at Oldham, the same number he wore at Burnley and at many of his other clubs.
It’s eleven years now since he signed for us and was with us for three seasons including our first in the Premier League during which he made twenty starts. In total he made 120 league appearances for us, scoring twenty goals.
He left for Bolton in 2011 along with Tyrone Mears and spent three years there but since then it has just been short term deals at Blackpool, Charlton, Bury, Accrington, Port Vale and more recently Ross County. Since leaving Bolton he’s made just sixty league appearances in which he has scored seven times.
Eagles will now be hoping to resurrect his career back in the North West with Oldham.Share this page :
