Dale Stephens added to the lists for his six former clubs

The Played for Both Clubs feature on Up the Clarets has been updated since the start of the season to reflect debuts for four players who have made Burnley debuts and three more who have debuted at other clubs having previously played for Burnley.

The feature lists, club by club, all the players who have played for that club and Burnley in post-war competitive football and it was updated last month before we’d even kicked a ball when Nathaniel Chalobah (Bolton), Steven Fletcher (Stoke), Alex MacDonald (Gillingham), Joseph Mills (Northampton) and Stephen Ward (Ipswich) all played their first games for their new clubs.

In this latest update, three more players have made debuts for new clubs. Current Burnley player Ben Gibson made his loan debut for Norwich while former Clarets Joe Hart and Jeff Hendrick have now both played for Tottenham and Newcastle respectively.

We’ve also had five players make Burnley debuts who have already played for other clubs. Jimmy Dunne was the first; he’s been added to Accrington, Sunderland and Fleetwood (not Barrow due to them being a non-league club at the time he played for them) while Josh Benson and Anthony Glennon have both now been listed under Grimsby.

Bailey Peacock-Farrell has recently made his debut, that coming at Millwall in the League Cup, and he’s now included with Leeds while recent signing Dale Stephens has been added to the lists for Bury, Oldham, Rochdale, Southampton, Charlton and Brighton.

Played for Both Clubs can be found within the Players drop down menu.
