I think Dwight McNeil will remember his performance and goal at Everton last Saturday for some time but he can now add to that another call for the England Under-21 squad.

Dwight will be on his way to Slovenia to play in the U21 Euro Finals group stage and we’ll play against Croatia, Portugal and Switzerland with two of the four going through to this summer’s knock out.

Coach Aidy Boothroyd has called up three players for the first time, including goalkeeper Josh Griffiths who is currently on loan from West Brom to Cheltenham, PSV Eindhoven’s Noni Madueke and Emile Smith Rowe of Arsenal.

Switzerland will be our first opponents in Koper on Thursday, 25th March, kicking off at 2 p.m. We then move to the capital Ljubljana to face Portugal on 28th March at 8 p.m. before returning to Koper for the Croatia game on 31st March at 5 p.m. some three days before we are due to play at Southampton.

All those kick offs are UK times and all three games will be screened live by Sky.
