Everton take the points in youth league
Despite going 1-0 up with a Michael Mellon in the 12th minute, the under-18s have fallen to a 2-1 defeat this morning against Everton at Gawthorpe.
Jenson Metcalfe equalised for the Toffees just past the half hour with Martin Sherif scoring the winner nine minutes into the second half.
The teams were;
Burnley: Charlie Casper, Jack Leckie, Dan Sassi, Benn Ward, Dane McCullough, Will Couch, Joe Bauress (Ryan Tioffo 75), Will Hugill (Sean Etaluku ht), Jacson Coppack, Kade Ratchford (Tremaine Eastmond 69), Michael Mellon. Subs not used: Harry Moss, Keelan Williams.
Everton: Zan-Luk Leban, Mathew Malon, Harry Wright, Edward Jones, Jack Tierney, Jenson Metcalfe, Owen Baker, Matthew Apter (Halid Djankpata 79), Isaac Heath, Martin Sherif, Emilio Lawrence. Subs not used: Dylan Graham, Sam Coughlan, Tray Smickle-James, Trialist.
