Fantasy Premier League gets a good start
The Up the Clarets Fantasy Premier League was launched just over two weeks ago and, in what will be the first ever season raising money for charity, it has made a good start with 48 entries received to date and that’s with eleven days to go to the big kick off.
Given past history, that’s expected to more double before the season kicks off so I’m sure we can expect a prize fund again in excess of £500.
In previous seasons we have raised money for the academy at Burnley Football Club but with the club no longer requiring our support, this year we’ve chosen our charity which is to support the foodbank run by Burnley Community Kitchen which is part of Burnley FC in the Community.
It’s good fun, you just pick your squad and then get your team prepared for the opening games of the season on the weekend of 12th September. You will be able to shuffle it around just as much as you please until ninety minutes before the first game kicks off.
You can select up to three players from any one Premier League Club which means you can have three Burnley players in there and our players are often really good value.
The values this season for our players are below – the figure in brackets is the number of points they won last season.

How do you join us? That’s easy, set up your squad and send us your entry fee of £10 (£10.60 via Paypal to cover their charges of 61p). On receipt we will send you the code for the Up the Clarets League.
There is no need to be registered with our Message Board but we will show all the entries on there for you to check on. It will show the total prize fund, which is increased by £5 with every entry (currently £240) and, once the season is underway it will also show the individual prizes which are usually for those finishing in the top three along with manager of the month awards.
