Fantasy Premier League is back on Up the Clarets
Yesterday evening, the Premier League launched its fantasy game for the 2023/24 season and here at Up the Clarets we’ve launched our league for the season to help raise much needed funds for the foodbank at Burnley FC in the Community.
Last season, the fantasy game raised just short of £550 for the foodbank with hope that we can come close to matching that figure again in the forthcoming season when there will be the added interest of including Burnley players in your squad.
We’ve also continued to use the official Premier League game which has served us well over the years. The most expensive player for the new season is, hardly surprisingly, Manchester City’s Erling Haaland who comes in at £14 million, a sizeable chunk out of the £100 million you have to spend on a squad of sixteen players. You can get Mo Salah and Harry Kane for £1.5 million less but there are bargains to be had at Burnley with Manuel Benson, Jay Rodriguez and Wout Weghorst listed as our most expensive players at £5.5 million.
We’ve held the cost for entering a team at £10 (or £10.60 should you opt to use Paypal which covers their charges). With each entry, £5 will immediately be added to the prize fund with the remainder going to the foodbank.

There is no requirement to be a member of the Message Board but a list of all entries will be displayed on there.
