We kicked off our new season three days ago at Huddersfield, but the league we’ve just left, the Premier League, gets underway in four days time.

Arsenal kicked off last season on the Friday night at Brentford and they are again in action in this Friday’s opener, this time at Crystal Palace. The start of the Premier League means the start of Fantasy Premier League too.

With the game at Palace kicking off at 8 p.m., it means the deadline for week 1 in the fantasy game is 6:30 p.m. with the new season following last season with deadlines ninety minutes before the start of that week’s first game.

The Up the Clarets League has started well. Just slightly behind last season at this stage, we’ve still received 47 entries and we know that the final few days always sees a rush of people joining. It means the current prize fund is £235 with a similar amount already raised for the foodbank at Burnley Community Kitchen.

Unfortunately, there are no Burnley players to name in your squad this season but you will find ex-Clarets at eleven of this season’s Premier League clubs and this is how much you will need to pay to include them in your squad.

Danny Ings (Aston Villa) – £7m
Junior Stanislas (Bournemouth) – £5m
Ben Mee (Brentford) – £4.5m
Shane Duffy (Brighton) – £4.5m
James Tarkowski (Everton) – £4.5m
Dwight McNeil (Everton) – £5.5m
Nathaniel Chalobah (Fulham) – £4.5
Patrick Bamford (Leeds) – £7.5m
Tom Heaton (Manchester United) – £4m
Nick Pope (Newcastle) – £5m
Kieran Trippier (Newcastle) – £5m
Chris Wood (Newcastle) – £6m
Wayne Hennessey (Nottingham Forest) – £4m
Nathan Collins (Wolves) – £4.5m

The prizes will be dependent on the number of entries but in recent years we’ve had prizes for the top three at the end of the season and manager of the month awards.

Would you like to join our league? If yes, you need to join the league via the official Premier League game, then send us your payment of £10 (£10.60 via Paypal to cover their costs). Once received, you will be sent the code required to enter the Up the Clarets League.

All the details can be found HERE and we look forward to you joining us this season.
