There is no fixed date as yet for the launch of the 2021/22 Fantasy Premier League game but the information coming out over the past couple of days suggests it is not far away.

This year they are tempting us with the valuations of four players from each club and yesterday it was Burnley’s turn with some news on goalkeeper Nick Pope, central defenders James Tarkowski and Ben Mee and striker Chris Wood.

At the time of writing, four player values from twelve of the twenty clubs have been revealed with not too much change with the four Burnley players.

Pope started last season with a value of £5.5 million, ended the season on the same figure and goes into next season still on £5.5 million.

Tarkowski kicked off a year ago with the same valuation as Pope but that had dropped to £5.3 million by the end of the season and when the game launches you will be able to sign him for £5 million.

Mee will be at the same price too. That’s where he started last season but by the season’s end had dropped to £4.7 million.

The player going up in value is Wood by virtue of his continued goalscoring achievements. He came in last season at just £6.5 million and had edged up to £6.6 million by the end of the season but for next season you will need to pay £7 million to have him in your squad.

Up the Clarets will again be arranging its own league to raise money for the foodbank at Burnley Community Kitchen and unlike Wood, our price will remain the same.
