Fowler scores consolation goal at Liverpool
I once saw Robbie Fowler scored a stunning goal against us at Anfield in the League Cup but yesterday it was Michael Fowler scoring for the Clarets against Liverpool in a youth team friendly although it was no more than a consolation in a 4-1 defeat.
The home side, under the tutelage of former England captain Steven Gerrard, were 2-0 up in the first half through Glen McAuley and Liam Miller and that advantage was doubled after the break, firstly through an own goal and then Luis Longstaff scoring Liverpool’s final goal before Fowler scored our goal in stoppage time at the end of the game.
The two clubs certainly had a different approach to the game. Liverpool not only fully reported it but showed the game live on their video channel. Burnley, however, made no mention of the game and as such we have no team news other than there were games for Kai Calderbank-Park, Richard Taylor and Oscar Woods as well as scorer Fowler.Share this page :
