Game number three this season for Mason
Lee Mason refereed just one Burnley game in total during the 2018/19 and 2019/20 seasons but tonight he will referee the Wolves game which will be his third Burnley game this season.
He started our season at Leicester and more recently was in charge when we visited Manchester City but tonight will be his first Turf Moor game as referee since he awarded Arsenal a debateable stoppage time penalty that gave them a 1-0 win back in November 2017.
His most recent game was Everton’s 2-0 win at Leicester which saw home players Christian Fuchs and Nampalys Mendy yellow carded along with Everton pair Mason Holgate and Ben Godfrey.
Jon Moss is fourth official tonight; his most recent Burnley game as referee was the home game against Brighton that brought last season to an end. Stuart Attwell is on VAR duty and he last refereed Burnley at Brighton in February 2019.
