1516 burnley matt gilks 00 630x420Matt Gilks, who joined Burnley two years ago from Blackpool, has moved to Scotland and signed a two year deal with Rangers where he will provide competition for current first choice goalkeeper Wes Foderingham.

He joins former Claret Joey Barton who also signed for Rangers recently and both could feature in five weeks time when the Clarets face them at Ibrox.

Now 34, Gilks had started his career with Rochdale before moving to Norwich and then Blackpool. He also spent a month on loan at Shrewsbury in 2008 before going on to make 18 Premier League appearances for Blackpool in the 2010/11 season.
