Harvey moves to Hednesford
Alex-Ray Harvey, who came through the junior teams at Burnley and reached the first team squad, has today moved from Guiseley to Hednesford Town.
He was a member of the 2008/09 youth team, the best we’d had in some years, and progressed to the development squad and was a regular member of the reserve team. He also made the first team bench on a number of occasions but his only first team action during his time at Turf Moor came in loans at Fleetwood and Barrow.
He had two spells with Fleetwood, one in the 2010/11 season and then the first half of the following season. The second half of that season saw him move to Barrow on loan and he signed permanently for them having left Burnley in 2012.
In October last season, by now the longest serving player at Barrow, he moved to Guiseley but today he’s moved on to Hednesford until the end of the season with the potential for a longer term deal there.
Another former youth team player has also been on the move recently. Callum Jakovlevs, who played in goal when we won 4-3 at Manchester United in the FA Youth Cup, has returned to Silsden having previously been playing at Prestwich Heys.Share this page :
