Following on from Brad Grant and Kian Le Fondre, who signed first professional deals yesterday, and Basilio Rieno Socoliche who arrived today from Crystal Palace, Will Hugill has now signed his first professional deal with the Clarets.

Hugill has been at Burnley for three years since moving from local rivals Blackburn Rovers. He served a two-year scholarship in the youth team and began to establish himself as part of the then under-23 squad.

That scholarship was extended to a third year last summer after which, last month, the club confirmed that he was being retained. Today, he’s signed a one-year professional contract and will be part of next season’s under-21 squad.

Our best wishes go to Will, who is from Harrogate, as he continues his career as a Claret.
