1718 burnley anders lindegaard 02 500x500Michael Duff’s under-23s are on their travels this week with away games in two competitions tonight and Friday against Hull City and Newcastle United.

It’s Hull up first for the Clarets in the Professional Development League as we look for just our second win of the season against a home side who, having started poorly, have won their last two games against Cardiff and Coventry with the second, a home fixture, being played in the KCOM Stadium immediately after a home first team game.

We’ve been beaten at Crystal Palace, Bristol City and Watford on our travels and more recently at home against Cardiff when three late goals gave the visitors a 4-0 win they hardly merited.

Our one win came against a very youthful Ipswich side but in the other games we’ve come up against much stronger teams in terms of experience. We’ll once again be fielding a very young line up tonight with some of our under-18s involved, although there could be a debut for new goalkeeper Anders Lindegaard following his signing last week.

There has been no indication as to how Hull will line up. They have  first team game tomorrow so it is unlikely there will be any first team fringe players involved.

The game is being played at the Eon Visual Media Stadium (or Grange Road), the home of North Ferriby United and kick off is 7 p.m.
