Ian Britton funeral today

The funeral of former Claret Ian Britton, who sadly passed away on31st March, will be held this afternoon.

The cortege will pass, and stop, outside Turf Moor at approximately 3 p.m. where supporters will join club staff in paying their last respects to Britt who will forever be remembered for the goal he scored against Orient in May 1987.

The cortege will then make its way to Burnley Crematorium  via Yorkshire Street, Centenary Way, Manchester Road, Rossendale Road and Accrington Road for the funeral service at 3:30 p.m.

My thoughts today will very much be with his wife Eileen, his daughter Lauren and sons Calum, Liam, Kieran and Phil and his grandchildren Elise, Lloyd, Ava and Mabelle.
