Hat trick for Juke against his former club

Burnley fielded a strong team yesterday as the development squad beat Middlesbrough 4-0 at Gawthorpe with Lukas Jutkiewicz helping himself to a hat trick against his former club and Rouwen Hennings also on the scoresheet.

Juke gave us an early lead, heading home a Cameron Dummigan cross, and it might have been more before he got our and his second just before half time as he latched on to a through ball from Michael Kightly to hit home with a powerful left foot shot.

It was another header, this time from an Arlen Birch cross, that saw him complete his hat trick early in the second half before Hennings completed the scoring a quarter of an hour from the end with a finishing well after a good team move.

The Burnley team was: Paul Robinson, Cameron Dummigan, James Tarkowski, Kevin Long, Arlen Birch (Luke Hendrie 60), Brad Jackson (George Green 60), Fredrik Ulvestad, Aiden O’Neill, Michael Kightly, Lukas Jutkiewicz (Ntumba Massanka 75), Rouwen Hennings. Subs not used: Conor Mitchell, Jimmy Dunne, Taofiq Olomowewe.

The next game is a week on Thursday when we face Stoke in last season’s final of the Final Third Development League Cup. The game will be played at Harrison Park, home of Leek Town with a 7 p.m. kick off.
