The under-18s twice came from behind yesterday morning to earn a point in a 2-2 home draw against Manchester United.

Jack Moorhouse scored the only goal of the first half on 39 minutes to give United the lead but Burnley were soon level after the break when Kade Ratchford scored from close range after a George Walters shot had been saved.

Manni Norkett restored United’s lead but it was an 89th minute goal from Joe Bauress that won the point when he latched on to a Ratchford free kick. It might have been even better too but a late, strong shout for a penalty was waved away by the referee.

The teams were;

Burnley: Charlie Casper, Keelan Williams (Jacson Coppack 32), Jack Leckie, Dan Sassi, Dane McCullough, Sean Etaluku, Joe Bauress, Will Hugill, George Walters (Wiktor Gromek 80), Tremaine Eastmond (Trevon Bryan 45+3), Kade Ratchford. Subs not used: Nathan James, Joe Ashton.

Manchester United: Radek Vitek, Habeeb Ogunneye, Rhys Bennett, Sonny Aljofree, Tyler Fredricson, Maximillian Oyedele, Ethan Ennis, Daniel Gore, Jack Moorhouse (Kobbie Mainoo 62), Sam Mather, Manni Norkett. Subs not used: Eric Hanbury, James Nolan, Jack Kingdon, Adam Berry.
