Late goal costs under-21s at Birmingham
A stoppage time goal prevented the under-21s from beating Birmingham this afternoon in the Professional Development League with the game ending in a 2-2 draw.
Birmingham went in front ten minutes before half time with a goal from Sahid Kamara and that proved to be the only goal of the half.
Burnley came back after the break and eight minutes in scored an equaliser through left-back Joe Ashton (pictured) who hit a left foot shot into the net having received the ball from Kian Le Fondre, and then we took the lead via an Laiith Fairnie own goal fifteen minutes from time.
We held that lead until the first minute of stoppage time when Birmingham drew level with a Pharrell Williams header.
