1718 burnley aiden oneill 00 500x500The international break is coming up in a couple of weeks and players will be receiving calls from their respective countries with Burnley fans eagerly awaiting the news from England and a potential return for Tom Heaton.

But two of our players have already received call ups this week; two players we currently have out on loan.

Two days ago, QPR confirmed that Nahki Wells, who is with them on a season long loan, had again been selected for the Bermuda squad for a CONCACAF Nations League qualifier against the Dominica Republic. The game will be played in San Cristόbal on Monday 25th March with Wells expected to play having returned to international football in November and scoring the only goal in a 1-0 win against El Salvador.

One day on and news came out of Australia that Aiden O’Neill (pictured) has been selected for their under-23s for the 2020 AFC U23 Championship qualifiers against Cambodia, Chinese Taipei and Korea Republic.

He will initially join up with the squad for a week long camp in Kuala Lumpur where they will play friendlies against Malaysian Super League team Petaling Jaya City and the Malaysian under-23 national team.

They will then move their base to Phnom Penh for the three competitive games as they look to qualify for the finals.
