Another example of mindless vandalism in a lovely part of Edinburgh over the weekend.

Re: Laugh out loud novels?
The first book in the Scoundrels series by Duncan Crowe and James Peak is truly hilarious. I fell out of bed and damaged my elbow I laughed so much!! The second and third are less amusing but worth a read. A shout for Tom Sharpe too. I also loved The Fall and Rise of Reginald Perrin on tv but the or...

Yep! Clean....clean...clean and clean again. I use sodium metabisulphite (also goes under the name of campden tablets I believe, but I use the powder). Another piece of advice would be to talk to the retailer. Most of the ones that I've met/spoken to are real enthusiasts and are more than happy to s...

Very sad to hear this. One of my favourite actors too. His performance as Jim Morrison in The Doors was truly magnificent. I first came across him in the film Top Secret which remains one of my go to funny films. RIP.

Burnley born and bred. Bank Hall Hospital '64 vintage. Dad took me on first game v QPR 1972. Here I am thousands of pounds later!!! Although I tend to only see the occasional away game nowadays. That was my dad's last ever live attendance at a Burnley game until the 0-0 versus Ipswich in the FA Cup ...

I have used the blow company, based in in Clitheroe, in the past for professional business translations. Was very pleased with their work. Not sure if they do Swedish, but worth asking. Think that it's likely to be expensive wherever you go unfortunately. :( https://www.activelanguages.co.uk/transla...

The Hartley Cup - Help please
My octogenarian father is asking for my help to find something for him but I’m struggling. I wondered whether any of the UTC fraternity might be able to help or advise? The story is so good theres barely a bad version out there. The plot carries everything. Agreed Rowls, it is a classic work of literature with a timeless message, but there's at least one bad one in my view.....the BBC adaptation with Guy Pearce is an absolute blasphemy. A morbidly dark version wit...

I think that what Mick Mills has stated here very much sums up the feeling in the local bars in Suvverk. Muric makes them very nervous.
