Re: Team for Wednesday Friday
I wouldn’t have Pires anywhere near the team he is not up to this standard. He gets in great positions and often chooses the wrong option, his defending is naive and he is wasteful in possession. Parker has some tough choices to make in the coming weeks with players coming back from injury and the n...

Re: Plymouth v Burnley - Player Ratings
Just logged on to find someone scored Pires a 4. After his best performance in a Claret shirt. After laying waste to Plymouth’s right side along with Foster. After spending the entire game in the opponent’s half. After showing touches Charlie Taylor could only dream of. But there you have it. Lucas...

I was there next to the back row, I wasn’t nervous at all I knew we wouldn’t get beat and that is all that counts a win was a bonus UTC

The De Boer twins were a later generation, 90’s to early ‘00’s, but also great players. Especially Frank. Brilliant Orange by David Winner is a fantastic book. A must for anyone interested in Dutch football. Great book loved how the Dutch played in the 70’s great to watch and so unlucky not to win ...

Went to Croatia in late June and early July. Lovely place but expensive. Did the trip to Mostar which was well worth the journey beautiful place and the waterfalls were amazing on the way back. Visited Lopud and really liked it. Great place but make sure you take plenty of money with you.

I was once working in Reading and went for some lunch at Morrisons as I was queuing up to pay a guy with a Burley jacket stood behind me in the queue, we got talking and he had moved down 40 years ago with work as a young man and never moved back up north, but still followed and supported Burnley. It was a fantastic season with the cup run too. But personal preference was the "22 22 undefeated" season under Dyche. I'm not sure that season will ever be eclipsed in my lifetime. Yes I must agree that also was a great season and we built on that and remained in the Prem under Dyche for several s...

Great season under Coyle probably one of the best I’ve experienced if not the best, culminating with a win at Wembley to secure the Prem dream. Shame he was such a shister otherwise he would have been lorded as one of the Burnley greats. UTC

7 wins and 13 draws in the 1970/71 season. The major plus point was that the horse bothered were relegated to the third division as well that season.

Re: This is my worst season ever
I understand what the club is trying to do, it’s trying to harp back to the past by developing players and moving them on for profit to keep the club sustainable for the future. But you can’t go from an OAP squad to a nappy squad as quickly as we have. We should have built on our success last season...

It’s like everyone saying last season was the best season ever, I personally don,t think it was. Getting promoted through the leagues I thought every promotion season was equally as exciting but the best season was the season Coyle got us back in the Prem by a country mile. Good cup runs and a promo...

I kind of agree with Spike, I was there through the dark days of the 80’s but this season for me is the worst I’ve experienced as a fan. I live in Great Harwood and the consensus even from the Horsebotherers is 100% foul and no goal, so saying it splits opinion is Bullocks. Twine is more a Paul Scholes type player finding space in and around the box and making late runs in there. If he can like people say bulk up either physically or mentally I think he has the capabilities to be a very good premiership player. The problem is we have only witnessed him against champion...
