I've no idea why, beyond the obvious of him being a tough nut, but Joe Bugner was one of the only 2 people who used to really scare the life out of me as a child, the other one being the Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

The Swan and Goose Bistro at Barden Marina serves excellent food. It doesn't stay open late.for food, last service is about 6pm, but well worth a visit and has always been busy when we've been.

On the rare occasions that I find myself on an empty and silent Turf Moor, that 3rd goal from Billy Hamilton against Wednesday is always the goal that I visualise.

Robbie Fowler used to wear some device to splay his nostrils apparently to give himself extra breathing capacity. Around that time I was watching a game on the Prairie and there was a player running along with his beer belly wobbling over about a 40" waist who was wearing one.
