Re: 2025/26: Tottenham Hotspur V Burnley – Ticket Information
For the benefit of Row X I would have bought 2 tickets for myself and my Son. I live in Hampshire and my son and heir actually lives in North London and although we don’t get to many games do try our best to go to those in and around the South East and try to take in a couple of home games. I’ll be ...

The Sidmouth Arms Upottery Devon. This was over 40 years ago and it still ranks as the biggest breakfast I have ever been given. I think it was 4 sausage, 4 rashers of bacon, 4 eggs, mushrooms, baked beans, fried tomatoes and black pudding. And they gave you all that without asking what you wanted f...

Whilst we have a monarchy in this country then we will continue with this anachronistic bit of nonsense. A system that continues to celebrate empire and is largely controlled by the establishment and thus is incredibly hierarchical. Hence those seen as lowly but worthy get a BEM but people like Star...

A touch of serendipity here. Yesterday I was out walking the dog and met a couple who I see fairly regularly on dog walks and normally it is just a brief hello, let the dogs have a bit of a play and then we go our separate ways. But this time I was wearing my Burnley hat and the man asks me how I’m ...

I’ve lived in London and the South East for 53 years. I love it. Started off living in central London, Gloucester Road Tube area, then moved to Streatham. In 1980 got married and moved to Tolworth/Surbiton (my wife is from Surbiton). Then made a biggish leap to Guildford Surrey and finally to Fleet ...

It tells you in the article why such a large amount was lost due to fraud. ‘Twas the Pandemic where UC claims rose dramatically and the DWP had to suspend their normal checks on veracity. Seems that in some cases those lack of checks and verification continue to this day!!

Re: Forest points deduction appeal
Surely the sensible option would be to say to any transgressors that your penalty is a loss of say 10 points. But as you cooperated and pleaded guilty that will drop to 6 points. But if you appeal this decision it goes back up to 10 points or even 12 with a further appeal not an option.

For me a minimum requirement for a head of state would be an ability to use a fountain pen. I know that is setting the bar quite low but this current incumbent can’t even do that.

I didn’t know who Natalie Bromley was until it was explained above. I guess when reality finally kicks you in the teeth it can have a way of making you re-assess your initial views. Mind you, the little piece itself was OK. Stating the obvious really.
