I stayed at the Edison 3 years ago but never again. Very run down and impersonal (to be fair much like a lot of Manhattan). The only saving grace is there was quite a good "jazz" bar on the ground floor.

Frankly the whole Times Square bit in midtown is worth avoiding.

That night immediately springs to mind but I was thinking more of Andy Cole as the individual performer. I remember when he was substituted, all four sides of Loftus Road clapped him off.

The Lives of Others won an Oscar for best foreign language film about 10 years ago. Set in East Germany in the early 80's. Thought it was a cracker. Much more realistic than Deutschland 83. Worth a watch.

The back 5 including Pope are settled and always have been. To me the difference is playing 4-5-1 and getting Defour into the game. For some reason Defour hasn't worked in a 4-4-2. This morning's news about Frank de Boer makes me wonder if there are many other mangers sacked immediately after losing to Burnley. Steve Coppell of Reading springs to mind but I think he just gave up.
