I think it was given for a culmination of penalty appeals. The ref clearly gave it for the second and took his chances that one of the challenges was a foul.

As gutting as it is for us to hear we were close to getting him on loan for a season, just imagine how bad it is for City fans imagining Palmer / Foden being their future. Huge error from Pep. Was he not sold because he’s a home grown player so therefore his entire transfer fee counts as a profit a...

Foster did look knackered on Saturday, but he’s only just come back from another long lay off. Odobert and Koleosho tend just to drift out of games for me, which I think is often about experience and confidence. As an example Koleosho’s diminishing effectiveness tended to coincide with the games be...

I read even Tarks said he annoys him in games   I can believe it. He’s hyperactive and talks a lot, but I wouldn’t say he’s particularly dislikable - at least not to me. Seems to come across like a decent bloke. There are many players in the Premier League who I’d rather see get a slap.

Confidence and nouse, probably. Fitness, no. Maybe, maybe not. Some of our players do noticeably look tired towards the end of games. Without wishing to draw comparison to Dyche’s sides I felt we used to be the opposite and would often not even make a single substitute. Perhaps we play a higher int...

I’m not sure I can see a team lacking fitness being in so many close games at this point of the season. Re: So do you drop Muric after two massive costly howlers?
I don't think I am. The quotes from both Mcguiness and Cathro both imply the use of studs as the first touch to give then a slight advantage in being able to play both ways. As soon as you take a touch with the sidefoot it attracts the press from one side, it's a trigger for the press and you then ...

I don't subscribe either but seem to be able to view the article for some reason. So you're just going to ignore expert professional opinion because it contradicts your own fairly archaic opinion? All very despondent and rightly so but it could have been so different if we had just one player who could score goals. We started the season , and continued through it, without a recognised goal scorer. I am unsure if its true that we chose not to play Luton in that first game but if so it was a m...

We do of course long for Heaton and Pope again, but they were incapable of playing the way we play (and City etc play). The fast distribution, the high defence and sweeper keeper. I’m not convinced having them in our goal this season would have saved us. I think it’s more than likely we’d have pick...

There's definitely hints of laziness across the team at times. I'm really surprised that some people can't see it. For example, yesterday Brighton beat us with a long ball over the top that almost ended up in the back of the net, the assistant went on to raise his flag regardless. But Foster was sto...

Yeah thats what he did mate. It's just the wrong thing to do and at the wrong time. Same as last week when there was 20 seconds left in the half. For the record, I said in the summer, prior to signing Trafford, that I would be surprised if Muric started in the prem for these reasons. However, I wel...

Re: So do you drop Muric after two massive costly howlers?
I have no agenda whatsoever but there's probably ten back passes a game played between the sticks. 99 times out of a hundred the keeper controls the ball with his instep and doesn't try to put his studs on it. For a keeper who gets the praise Muric gets as a competent ball player, it would be quite...

The PFA statement says that is why the gesture has been adopted.
