In 1970/71 we finished the season having scored 29 and conceded 63 goals in forty two matches having won 7 and drawn 13. He has 29 clean sheets in 64 games since leaving the Clarets, however, he has been fortunate in that he has played with two teams who were both having decent runs of good form and that does make a big difference. Good luck to him.

I thought both the Delcroix and Assignon bookings were harsh, especially the Delcroix one. The Berge one was the correct decision to take the card couldnt let Bowen get away in that position. The BErge booking was very clever play by Bowen because, although he was in front of Berge, he had hold of ...

Ballard initiated the contact and made no connection with the ball though. If that was inside the box in a PL game, VAR gives that as a penalty. Which just highlights what a load of rubbish VAR is. When you keeper has had over 1000 touches of the ball, which is 237 more than any other keeper in the PL and is 40th in the full list of PL players for touches, it doesn't take a genius to realise that we aren't going to score a lot of goals with the ball in our own half.

That's my fear for next season when VAR hits the Championship.
