Re: This weekend's penalty situations
The Pope one this last weekend was a really weird one. Imo, he A. Got a touch on the ball and B. The Arsenal player does a completely theatrical and unnecessary Tom Daley impression from minimal contact after the ball has been touched away by Pope. Not a penalty for me, but all the pundits seemed t...

Re: ARTICLE: Clarets to take on Barrow again in Senior Cup
Good win in a game where we had a lot of possession, however, I just can't get to grips with the reluctance to shoot in all teams in the modern game. There are periods in games where 25+ passes are strung together and the ball has only moved about 20 to 25 yards forward and on occaions has ended up ...

The booking would have been for the dissent afterwards I’d have thought. Still a terrible decision to award the free kick. Sadly, it wasn't for the dissent afterwards because he went straight to his pocket when the Everton players foot landed on his opponents foot, even though this is a common thin...

He was pretty good to be fair, but we were probably all comparing him to Oliver last Sunday, who really should have turned up in the Liverpoo green shirt. Isn't the number 30 offside, that the defender is having to mark and hold onto interfering with play? He 100% is if that is us attacking. Essentially arguments can be made on both sides in situations like these….and we know what that means! Head injury so game should have been stopped immediately. That is the modern game and the directives given, unlike when I played it and officiated. The game really is going to the dogs because player safety is being taken to a new height. Don't want to risk injury, don't play the game. Simple really.

Stephen Ward was a master at it. Apart from the foul on Ekdal before Ugochukwu's booking, I'd like to see the second foul by Kerkez again.
