Re: ARTICLE: JBL is back with the Clarets
Actually a false economy in their respect. They've received a small financial gain but a loss to their squad that won't be replaced with the spare 2.5 million euros and therefore will cost them more in the long run. To get a player who scored 6 Premier league goals in 16 starts from midfield at 26 ...

Yes, they got him for 1.5m and sold him for 4m when he hasn't really developed as a player, is a year older, and only contributed a small amount to their team.Swizzlestick wrote: ↑Sat Jul 12, 2025 7:11 pmThey think they’ve had our pants down for a fee of €4m??

Stuggart fans seem to rate him as a squad player but they think they have our pants down for the fee.
Their manager is heavily focusing on youth which explains his involvement there.
He's probably a bit better than Anthony.

Re: Summer transfer window
I've thought ever since he joined that the best role for Koleosho would be as wing back with 3 at the back. He has all the attributes that the best in that role have in terms of pace, stamina and work rate. He'd be easily exploitable defensively but that would improve as he got more experience and ...

Re: Summer transfer window
Pointless argument. Most of our players would be dropped if we were basing it on whether they were good enough at this level. If Anthony was up to it Bournemouth wouldn't have shipped him out. If Koleosho was he would have done well in the championship. Both will struggle just the same as all our pl...

Very attacking fullback by the sounds of things. Could we be preparing the go with wing backs at times this season? To be honest it scares me. Gaps too big to expect anything next year. I'd pocket the prize money and go in with a young squad with the aim to be promoted back in 26-27 and give it a good go in 27-28 instead. Staying in the Premier League has to be a long project with the same manager. It's too risky spending too much and fail...

You can see what Manchester United saw in him. Very nifty and is surprisingly quick. Reads the game well. Very limited range of passing but he makes up for it in other areas. He encourages players to make runs and open play around him.

Don't agree when they compare Gnonto and James to Edwards.
Edwards is the far better player. Clear premier league quality.
Those two are probably peak struggling premier league/top championship players.
Only a matter of time now until we overtake them, Sheffield United probably will too!

I think we're are reading into it a bit too much. The cup is low priority so we leave our best for the league. The last thing we need is to play another game and against Aston Villa and get our asses handed to us such is the gap in quality. And Villa will be taking it very seriously to bring their f...

Either everyone posting here is massively overrating our players or they are underrating the Premier League. We may have 1 or 2. Most players we have are fringe Premier/top championship talents which says a lot about the gap in quality. If Anthony was premier league quality would he have been loaned...

Full backs are back in fashion. It's become more useful like it used to be to have players that can defend and head the ball in those positions. The fact the ref was so bad today makes it better.
He gave them everything, sometimes even when they fouled us.
It got so bad they were able to repeatedly foul without any punishment.

Do the basics right.
Show composure.

Re: CJ a bigger prospect than Esteve?
Esteve is more likely to make it against better opposition due to his pace.
Egan-Riley will struggle against good opposition but in a low block set up against good opposition he'll do decent.
To be a top defender now you need pace too.

Was a weird one with him and Taylor. Taylor always looked a bit more progressive going forwards but Pieters always had better attacking figures. It wasn't weird at all. Pieters could cross. Taylor couldn't. I still remember his peach vs Southampton. https://youtu.be/vTdC-P7Gzgg?si=QPVGPF2ijBBLVbtl
