I think it would be a good idea to get the spelling correct, on the thread header, as this one could linger. I'm sure there are people on here who could add the 'a'.
Just a matter of basic respect really.

Re: 5 Defeats...
I like the way we are progressing each game. City was a setback, but not a total surprise. Parker has made several tactical and personnel changes, starting and on the bench. Like last season, match fitness has been an issue. I hoped we would beat S'land and get something from Forest and fingers cross...

Similar with Tuanzebe and Humphreys. When we get a few more points on the board, we'll all be able to relax a bit more, and Parker won't be under as much scrutiny.

Re: Parker
We have to remember that Foster has had to carry the team up front, through the middle. Broja has had barely any preseason and to a lesser extent Flemming had an injury which curtailed his preseason. Hopefully in another 10/11 days those two will have caught up with their fitness and will be able to...

That was his 'monster' season. Not sure he'll ever repeat that. Parker allowed him to roam free when we had possession, to trust his instincts.
He'll probably never get that freedom again.

Re: Aston Villa vs THE SUPER CLARETS Match Thread
We are playing a more attacking game by employing a high press, which meant we played more in their half than usual. As a result our whole team moved higher up the pitch than we have recently. It means our midfield can be bypassed a little easier, and our back line was caught too wide for their goal....

There wasn't many positives to take from Tuesday night, so I had to find a couple of straws to clutch hold of. It came down to levels of fitness, and Broja and Tresor, both looked considerably fitter and stronger than in the previous round. Broja's touch was better but not good enough to get him on ...

From the whole team last night there was no urgency at all in the first half. They had a clear plan to overload down their left, our right. We didn't respond to that strategy. In the second half Hannibal pulled his finger out. If others did, they weren't very effective doing it, so that when Tresor ...

Mid sixties, Greaves and Law. They would have had success in any era. A man who almost had it all, except maybe mental strength, Martin Chivers. Great headers of the ball, more than made up for some other weaknesses, Ron Davies, Wyn Davies and Tony Hately. Malcolm Macdonald, Alan Shearer, Didier Dro...

I thought he was very unlucky to get a second yellow, as although it was a clear foul, there was very little physical contact, more just a question of impeding the player. Had it been given as a red, I'm sure there would have been a successful appeal.

Re: Our attacking strategy against Liverpool.
The first positive is that we never attempted to play our goal kicks short, through our penalty area. I think, everyone of them went long.
That meant that we immediately nullified one of Liverpool's major threats.
Also relieved the pressure on our defenders.
