Re: What now for James Trafford?
Observing only from the outside on Trafford's character, I have very little doubt he completely believed he would earn the #1 job very quickly at either City or Newcastle. He was probably given assurances at City that he would start the season ahead of Ederson, and that turned out to be the case. I ...

Re: Salisbury removed from VAR today
There can't be many jobs where you get a paid day off in return for making a big error. With that said though, surely the responsibility for the bad decision is Jones' unless there's an implicit assumption that the ref watching the replay is just a facade and the real decision is made by the VAR?

VAR has made the game a lot worse. It would be a big positive if it could be run sensibly but our referees have made it clear for many years they're not capable of or willing to do so. They should get rid of it as it would make the game better.

They've done a horrible thing to our game with this VAR nonsense. Genuinely thought to myself it was nice we'd scored a goal they couldn't try and tamper with and we still had to spend a minute waiting for them to try.

On the one hand you've got pages after pages of reasonable concerns, personal worries, and general discontentment. On the other hand you've got the same few accounts who hate when anyone criticises anything done by Burnley Football club. Hard to know who's right.

No, I don’t get it. Sonne and Ekdal aren’t being ‘fit in’, per se. Roberts would be starting if he was fit, for Sonne, and I’d imagine Tuanzebe for Ekdal. He’s not switched formation to fit in those two players, that’s for sure! As Newcastleclaret said, we had more touches in the box yesterday and ...

Re: Do we go with a back four against Sunderland?
Hope so. Seems really odd that we've got two defenders who've played more league minutes this season than last season. May be controversial but I feel like if you make 13 signings you should improve your team rather than changing formation to fit in last season's reserves.

Ignoring concessions, varying prices in different seats etc, if we charged £780 instead of £525 for 16,000 season tickets we'd make about £4 million a season. Maybe overcharging fans for a quarter of a signing would make the difference, who can say.

On a seperate note I really don't think we have any players we want to loan out who can get near a La Liga team. Maybe I'll be proven wrong.
