I hope his injury is not as serious as first thought? His comments would indicate a lengthy period away from the game.

I must admit that I didn’t think he would ever play for Burnley again after the issues towards the end of the transfer window last September.

Peter Rodrigues is 2nd from the right.

Got to be Peter Noble in so much as his was a ‘proper’ transfer where money exchanged hands.

Peter Noble - was it 28 out of 28. He did miss one once but the referee ordered a retake. His penalty kick at Cricket Field End was saved by Middlesbrough’s Jim Platt who dived low to his left to save Noble’s kick. Just a week earlier Frank had masterminded a 3-2 Clarets win at WHL (I think in front of watching England boss Sir Alf Ramsey?).

A week or so later in the return at TM there was to be no repeat and Frank was crocked by Knowles) as teams fought out a 2-2 draw.
