Just had a look at the managers at Watford since the Pozzo takeover in July 2012
In that time, we've had
Vincent Kompany (Jun 2022 to May 2024)
Scott Parker (June 2022)
I wonder how Vincent's ego would have coped sharing managerial duties with Scott?

The next two games are bigger than they already were. Need a win or two. Disappointing result today but not unexpected. Snippets of things are okay but overall some of these displays look relegation fodder. Les needs to start the next game and stick to a back four. Dubravka player of the season so f...

Florentino wasn’t on the pitch after being whacked in the head. Despite not needing treatment. Wouldn’t have had that space otherwise. Weird rule..
Not the first time it's happened though. Playing through the lines at will.

I like Foster, and really want him to succeed but he just doesn't have a natural striker's instinct and his finishing is generally poor. I don't think he was offside with his big chance - and a big chance it was. Should have scored.

I don't see us moving stadium any time soon. I don't think the club could afford to do it for starters - probably looking at £100-150m in today's money. The CF and BL clearly need a lot of work, and ideally rebuilding - we can't keep kicking the can down the road. I mentioned on the CF thread, IF th...

I wonder if it would have been feasible (IF) we could have purchased a small strip of land behind the CF stand to build a new back/roof as Liverpool and City have done whilst not having the shut the stand. Once finished we'd have a new roof, larger concourse below (giving room for larger changing ro...

Really liking our more pragmatic approach this summer. A good blend of youth/resale value along with valuable PL experience thrown in with Walker/Dubravka.

Morecambe may be the first of many: The spiralling cost of running a modern football club means that the days when a wealthy and sympathetic businessman can bail out/save his local club are over. Substantial outside investment is required and as many on here struggled to grasp (some still do) when ...

Can't help but feel the club are trying to polish a turd. The Bob Lord and Cricket Field need far more updating than a few shiny TV screens, flags and another add on. I guess it's better than nothing but seems again, we are kicking the can down the road.

It’s not as clear cut as that. Scott Parker said, after the games on Saturday, that he expects Trafford to go and that he will have a word with the owners as to whether we have any funds to buy a replacement. Or he's downplaying the fact we'll have taken a bumper fee and need a replacement keeper. ...

Wolfsburg have pulled out of the Sargent deal apparently
Seems as though no deal was agreed between the clubs. Norwich apparently asking 'well over' 20m euros.

I had a brief chat with Jimmy about 20 years ago when playing against his Bromsgrove Rovers side. Brought a smile when I told him I was a Claret after the game. Be nice to see him back at the Turf.

Koleosho back to Espanyol seems the obvious one given his past links there. I wouldn't be against sending him there on loan. I think it's probably unlikely he's going to see much action this season, and a loan spell would hopefully give him some consistent playing time. With a bit of luck he would c...
