I think that’s the least interested I’ve seen a Burnley player look in a game. Twice Cullen and Walker had a go at him for not showing for the ball.

Re: Aston Villa v Burnley - Player Ratings

People can talk systems all they want, but we have nothing up front. It’s hard to see how Broja is going to be the answer when Cullen and Walker are bollocking him for not even showing for the ball. SP needs to mix it up after the break. At least with Flemming and Hannibal, for example, there’s some...

Did well initially with the hand which he was dealt.

Coyle’s style was such a breath of fresh air at the time. Charlton (a) always sticks in my mind and being shocked at how quickly we changed style.

Hard to do ratings - I thought we gave it a good go for an hour. The word I always use is ‘overwhelmed’ when we play these ‘super’ clubs. They have so much quality. When they brought Bernardo Silva on, that just sums up how they operate in a different universe to us. The key this season is forgettin...

I think a fair bit of the concern is not so much the changes themselves, but the potential safety issues created by the changes. Doug Metcalfe and his team will have put a hell of a lot of work into this and to get health and safety sign off etc. Decisions like this aren't just made up on the spot!

Everyone loved to target Hendrick but we weren't as good a side when we left and he did a terrific job for Dyche wherever he played, never more so than when he played in that advanced position in what was a 4-4-1-1 formation in the European qualification season. It's the manager who decides whether the players arrive by coach or they can just drive in individually. So theoretically if Parker goes mid season and is replaced by a manager who doesn't make the players arrive by coach then that's those plans down the pan. If they do arrive by coach most of them...
