Re: Books for the Summer

I can recommend the Guardian of the Stone series if you like fantasy. All three books are page turners, perfect holiday reads... and the author is a Burnley fan, so you'd be helping a fellow claret :) https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BWSFYF6H?binding=kindle_edition&qid=1748703004&sr=8-1&ref=dbs_dp_rwt_...

Re: Any good news?

My third novel in my fantasy trilogy is now with my editors - to be published late August. This brings an end to five years of blood, sweat, tears, angst, heartache, pride and lord knows how many other emotions. I have managed to write these books surviving a marriage break up, divorce, covid, movin...

Re: Recommended Books

I should have added - the author is a claret fan... just in case you want to support one of your own. It's a great holiday read and and a rip-roaring page turning adventure story :) I have to say it ... but a good fantasy novel from a debut author: The Stone of Radnor by Paul R. Somerville. Like a G...

Re: Recommended Books

I have to say it ... but a good fantasy novel from a debut author: The Stone of Radnor by Paul R. Somerville. Like a Game of Thrones for a slightly younger reader, but adults too. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Stone-Radnor-Guardian-Book-ebook/dp/B0BWRR5532/ref=sr_1_1?crid=1A6D94047O7G3&keywords=the+stone...

Re: The Stone of Radnor

Hi DD - my story is that I always thought I had a novel or two in me. I joined a creative writing group, got some inspiration and my book started to form. I never intended to publish, it was just going to be for me. However, I read chapters to my writing group, they loved it and my tutor encouraged ...

Re: The Stone of Radnor

Thanks Tonbridge - drop me a link to yours - I believe in supporting other writers. It has been hard work. I am a single parent with a full time full-on job. Getting this far has been a long journey. So enjoying the current high, my local bookshop have been of enormous help too and I have my first A...

The Stone of Radnor

Hi fellow clarets - last year I posted that I had released my debut novel 'The Stone of Radnor'. I am delighted to announce that today it reached No.1 in the Amazon free ebook lists for the Teen Sword & Sorcery category. But more importantly, overall it has just entered the Top 100 best sellers (cur...

Well done for getting it on the market. I have a question: which formatting tool did you use, Jutoh?
No - I contracted someone on Fiverr to format it all for me

Is this fantasy tale a story about an ageing footballer, who had been struggling for a few years and looked finished at his football club, but then turned hero by scoring 2 goals in a win against their local rivals?
If you purchase the book you will soon find out ;)

Book by a Claret Fan

Hi all - I have been a member of the board for many years, but never post and just read my way through. I am originally from Harle Syke and a former Barden student. However, I have recently published my debut novel (a fantasy novel aimed at 13-18 year olds) it would make a great stocking filler for ...
