Watched much of it on TV and let's remember that live broadcasting technology and sending it worldwide has improved significantly in that forty years. That said, the BBC did a good job in that broadcast which allowed the top bands of the time to perform three/four songs before giving way to the next...

Another shout out for Clayton Street chippy in Great Harwood.
Also West End chippy in Oswaldtwistle. I know this will be a little contentious but they serve the Blackburn delicacy the 'John Bull' which is a deep fried ball of spiced meat mixed with potato. Great with mushy peas.

Reading the article, they agreed to a mortgage in 2007 at 6.59% which from memory, was a rate quite a bit higher than high Street banks were charging at the time.

Subject to current negotiations being concluded on loanees/ contract ending, desperate need for players capable of playing up to PL standard in attack and midfield. I'm thinking a smaller squad of good players who can 'make a difference ' rather than a large squad of pointless bench fillers.

Spent my early years in Bacup, First game was at The Turf v Newcastle Utd with Malcolm McDonald in their team. A fairly dull 0-0 end of season fixture in the old First Div round about 1975....and whilst being unremarkable I was hooked.
