Re: Camera Advice
Try second hand from MPB. Good selection of cameras from all major brands with lenses and accessories. First camera could be a fixed lens point and shoot, or a cheaper mirrorless with a kit zoom. Just try amd ensure its a camera system he can add to and increase the versatiltiyty of over time. Also ...

Re: Newly promoted teams over the years
What I think has changed from the 70s is that a good coach/manager could make a massive difference to a Club which would elevate them to a level above their natural one. Ramsey at Ipswich, Cloughy at Derby then Forest, Revie at Leeds and Shankly at Liverpool saw those clubs experience "golden age". ...

Plenty of opportunities to study the right field part-time/evenings up to an entry level (QAA level 2/3 qualification). Maybe do an Access to HE diploma (2 years part-time) to get on a graduate course such as paramedicine where you lean on the job. I've done 40-odd years in the Navy and the resettle...

Well done to the travellers. Not very appetising in these days of random scheduling for TV in winter.
FWIW I was gobsmacked the ref didn't award a penalty, not that I'm complaining.

Parker made a bit of the idea of different styles/tactics v different opposition during his early interviews. Whether that was a way of saying "I'll see how it goes and maybe try something sometime" or not remains to be seen. So far home and away against different types of teams we've not seen a lot...

They do a lot of miles over a season. Us, PNE, Rovers, Sheffield x 2, Hull, Boro, Sunlan, Norwich all crap journeys. When I lived and worked down there I would only consider coming up 3 or 4 times a season as it was a slog. Sunlan dont have as many teams in the south or southwest to visit so I would...

You think people moving to the area will not already have a team and will think to themselves, "I've never liked football, but I like this lot so I'll go and support them."? More likely that we will see more 'foreign' shirts such as Man Utd, Liverpool, Chelsea, etc. around the town It's what I did ...

Born in Nottingham, grew up near Cambridge. Moved to Crosshills early 90s and started following Clarets immediately. 38 years in Royal Navy and now living in Cumbria. Always seemed to meet Clarets on various ships/bases. Like rats, you're never more than a few feet from one!

Remember the 2-1 at Yeovil when we last won the league? About 9000 on I think. Used to work there and go on when Gary Johnson was taking them up through the leagues in late '90s. Always been a big club for the non-league scene.

Be interesting to see our home avearge attendance at the end of the season. If (when) we go up, will we match it in the PL? As some have said, people will pay to watch good, exciting but above all winning football. We will almost certainly not be winning as much in the PL, so will people still match...
