Re: Penalty - indirect freekick for encroachment
It was Bill Nicholson and it was a bilge argument. He can't have been literal unless he had given no thought at all to it. its down as a Brian Clough remark that I remember and when looked at on the internet says BC but not to say others may have said before or after but BC is the most famous one a...

Re: Penalty - indirect freekick for encroachment
Using the Brian Clough comment if hes not interfering with play hes not getting paid. For me if you are a goalkeeper facing a penalty and 2 people are running in at you that must interfere with your eye sight and you decision making. Whilst it makes no difference its been and gone I think if an atta...

I thought it was a penalty soft yes but he did not get the ball and touched played Watson. However although we scored my pet hate is the keeper cant leave his line , but the penalty taker can start stop start and change his run up for me that is bending the rules , I would say once they start run up...

It's offside because the front of Foster's shoulder is ahead of any point of the defender's body which is considered when offside decisions are determined. I can't really put it in any more simple terms than that. you have just proven that that they have all been (the pundits and referees) wrong i ...

Not necessarily. It’s likely a sell on clause, say 20%, is based on the ‘profit’ we make from selling Trafford. So if we buy for say £15m and sell for £35m, the 20% could be based on the £20m difference, which would be just £4m. In this case the equivalent fee from Newcastle would be more in the re...
