Flemming did have that x factor in the Championship and scored some fantastic goals, but as Dark Cloud has summarised several posts above "Flemming does not have the pace or movement to seriously trouble PL defenders". I suspect Flemming is not a lot faster than Barnes

If we had a fully fit Beyer who had not experienced his horrific injury then he would be the ideal centre half to play in the Laurent role as he could primarily play at the back but step forward with the ball into midfield

If you watch the City game closely , he was very slow at getting to his man for 2 of their goals . Can't disagree-its a good example of how far behind "PL standard" some of our players are. Cardiff for me really backfired-another round in the League Cup would have allowed more game time for Broja, Humphreys, Tuanzebe, Edwards, maybe even Roberts and a few more, whilst keeping motivation high in the club. All it needed was to have some of the first team on the bench

Appreciate fixtures have been tough for us but they were three seasons ago under VK. We had a hard run of really tough initial fixtures then, but when easier games came along there was little or no improvement.

Thanks for the correction-I was watching from a poor stream and had not realised Ugochukwu had come on. Still surprised Laurent started ahead of him. Surely Luis could offer more protection in the back line
