It wasn't a blatant penalty A Burnley player deliberately taken out when the ball was "live" in the penalty area? OK nobody would have reached it before it went out of play. Worked with a non footy fan bricklayer once who found it hilarious we had a forward line of Heath - Robinson. I didn't know what he was on about. Had the dubious pleasure of seeing it in action. Sad news indeed
I cut my Clarets teeth as a young boy watching Central League games with my Dad. I remember a buzz even with a comparatively small crowd when the two Willie's, Morgan and Irvine, were announced, I think they were about 17.
Thanks Willie for memories that have lasted all these years.

I presume these fees include what clubs pay to offload players surplus to requirements. Suspect if Man U eg can get rid of quite a few this summer then agents fees could be money very well spent.......at least better than what they paid to recruit some of them in the first place

An extra tanner (six old pence = 2.5p for those under 70) you still had to pay the standard turnstile fee to get to the Enclosure in the first place. In my early days going o...

That one was given specifically because the ref was *****. Same day we scored a goal he disallowed when Mee was bulldozed in the back of the head.
