If Burnley are to stick with purple potion it may give Ashley something to put on his other buttock.
However although not over keen on the colour I think that it is more important who is inside the shirt than the shirt itself

I tend to think that by the law of averages a promoted team will stay up next year whatever the expert prophets of doom may say. Whether that's Burnley I wouldn't like to say at this stage.

I presume these fees include what clubs pay to offload players surplus to requirements. Suspect if Man U eg can get rid of quite a few this summer then agents fees could be money very well spent.......at least better than what they paid to recruit some of them in the first place

not sure, but to many it was "The Enclosure" the standing bit below the seated area. think it was only a "tanner" to get in. An extra tanner (six old pence = 2.5p for those under 70) you still had to pay the standard turnstile fee to get to the Enclosure in the first place. In my early days going o...

That one was given specifically because the ref was *****. Same day we scored a goal he disallowed when Mee was bulldozed in the back of the head. It was either play on for a goal to us or a penalty (possibly a red card too.) Obviously the ref gave a free kick to Leeds. Extenuating circumstances......

Do you mean Alex Elder's last-minute penalty versus Man U at Turf Moor in 1965-66? We won 3-0. What followed was a full-scale battle between both sets of fans on the pitch.
