Re: Colonoscopy - advice
I've had one most years for the last 35 years or so. I usually opt for sedation these days, not because I need it, but because it works very well and means I remember almost nothing of the procedure. I'm lucky in that my wife is usually available to bring me home. The times I've gone without sedatio...

Re: Premier league
I dislike that Chelsea can make a pre-tax loss of approx £300,000,000 and still be within PSR,
...whilst Burnley are obliged to make a pre-tax profit of approx £20,000,000 in order to comply.
What's the point of being in the Premier League with that kind of imbalance - on top of everything else?

Another shout for Zen Internet.
Been with them as both business and private customer for more than 20 years.
Hugely reliable and really good customer service.
After they resolved an issue for me recently, they even called me back a few days later to check everything was still working well.

Home Bargains and similar seem to get the short date or surplus goods. Every chance that next time you go they won't have Kitkat at all, or at least not the flavour you're after. The big supermarkets pay (and charge) a premium to have fully stocked shelves. Their net profit tends to be about 4%. Th...

I've had 20+ of these over the past 30 years... As others have said, the prep you have to drink is worse than the procedure... foul tasting stuff, but it usually does the job. I'd recommend the sedative if you have someone who can drive you home as it does pretty much make you forget the procedure. ...

It's simple really... In the past, for a penalty to be awarded, there had to have been a foul of some kind. However, these days, the laws have changed and now a "special" kind of contact (plus 3 other criteria being fulfilled) are needed. We can ignore the hundreds of instances of "regular" contact ...

With the benefit of TV replays, I was more frustrated by the players' antics rather than the refereeing.
Yes, he missed a few and got a few wrong - but with so much attempted cheating going on - it is easy to imagine that he mistook those incidents as yet more fakery.
