Absolutely. I’d love him to stay. His agent has probably got him into this situation advising what he could earn elsewhere and priced him out of the market. Always gives everything and deserves another shot at the Premier League. He was definitely a better player last season than any previous one.

I was hospitalised with pneumonia 5 years ago. It just floors you. It took me 8 days to get well enough to leave hospital then a couple of months to get my strength back. So maybe he’s off for the season.
