It's used solely to give the FA the league table they want...& to give 'pundits' something to discuss for hours on end during the week, as was witnessed yesterday at OT & Stamford Bridge.
It's ruining the game for the ordinary fans.

The guy scored 2 perfectly valid goals at OT yesterday, infront of the Stretford End...what more can he do? Lets get behind him, the same as we do the rest of the team.

I didn't mind so much seeing us lose 2-1 at OT to a brilliant Denis Law overhead kick in 1965. But after watching yesterday as the result was blatantly manipulated by VAR, I've no intention in setting foot in that sh*thole again.

He caused the Spurs defence plenty of problems, after being battered 2 or 3 times by a thuggish Romero who somehow got off without even a booking, won some good defensive headers & would probably have got us an equalise but for a very dubious offside flag...I'm relieved that its the manager who.pick...

Same here...whatever people think of his 'defensive qualities' he has alot of positive attributes that, after a good start, were never developed...ie his ability to go forward, take men on & beat them

Starting to think we might not win away all next season as well. That is an incredibly frustrating result. The team was crying out for a sub to freshen things up. I don't know where the young 17 year old Liverpool player originates from. If it is not Liverpool then yes, Joey was the only Scouser on the pitch. Being abroad, I watched it live on tv in the middle of the night...I can confirm that even from SE Asia, 20 mins from the end you could feel a goal was coming. 'Barnes softens them up, now will Vokes get the winner?'. A good forcast from the commentator! ☺

Back near the start of the season an Everton supporting friend of mine asked if he could come with me to see the Clarets...I took him to the home game v Hull. At the end he asked ' Whos the one with long hair & head band? He's your best player! He's everywhere!'

Great post...Andre was superb...& one of the features of this season is the look of delight on his face when we score..wether he gets the goal or not...a true, honest team player!

Got to agree with that...Pace to burn & an eye for goal...plus the element of suprise coming on as a late sub. against a tiring defence, good at set pieces. Similar to how Ranieri handled D.Grey's development at Leicester.
