The gate is shut before the game to make access to the turnstiles earlier. It was fully open (as it always is) on the way out.

Semantics. He wasn't overrated at all. He was a major part of our superb record breaking defence. The like of which we are unlikely to ever see again. Whilst I agree that he was flapping at crosses I do think he was a tad over rated. He was a good goalkeeper behind an exceptional defensive unit.
