Met him during Benson and Hedges Matches in the Seventies when I drove Alan Wharton to matches - Alan was the rep. for B and H. Dickie's first question to Alan: Have you any free fags Wharton?
Also met him in the Hospitality Lounge at Barnsley v Burnley a few years ago.

Michael was obviously overjoyed to give the penalty.
He was equally delighted to award 2 yellow cards for 2 tackles.
If his Liverpool team were unable to beat the 11 men of Burnley, better to give them a man less.

I have been informed by the Ticket Office that it would cost me £5 extra at the Ticket Office if I ask for a ticket to be printed there (instead of a digital ticket). Is this correct ?

Via television it was said the shirt was still being held into our penalty box. Therefore a penalty. Horrible for us at that stage of the game but not the ref's fault. If the referee was a genuine Premier League Referee he would have seen the shirt pull outside the area and blown for a free-kick. I...

In the past I usually parked on the Tennis Court Car Park and walked down the side of the CC to my seat in the JHU Upper, sometimes calling in at the CC before and/or after the game. On Saturday I arrived at 12 noon and parked on the street behind the JM Stand. I then spent 2 hours in the Park View....

After breaking his leg, Colin spent some time in the Hartley Hospital, Laneshawbridge, Colne. I remember my brother writing to him (and receiving a reply). In Martin Dobson's recent book, Martin also mentioned spending a night in the same hospital following an injury.

Whilst talking with Mike Hodkinson, who wrote the book No Nay Never, the other day, Mike mentioned that Bryan Douglas is the second oldest England International to be still alive. Bryan is 91. He asked if I could name the oldest which I eventually did. An easy question for many Clarets......
