Re: Do we go with a back four against Sunderland?

Yes from me, back three and zonal left Richarleson free for both. Great finishes they were but he had plenty of time and space.
Back 4 is what we've built on, and it gives us an extra man going forward.

Back 3 or 4

A back 4 is the most common formation in the prem and I feel a back 3 rarely works. In Hatman we have an ideal wing back, but not on the right. I think it also reduces a forward thinking creative player. Which is where we really needed improvement. They looked comfortable playing 3 yesterday, but I'...

Just looking at the starting 11 topic and I thought I'd look to see who should start based on stats. I appreciate players impact games in different ways. But wingers and strikers has to be based on goals and assists. Player. App. Goals. Assist. Anthony. 43. 8. 7. 1. In 2.8 Benson 48. 12. 4. 1 in 3 B...

Hi all, off to York on Saturday, the county stand is shirt and tie, the grandstand and paddock is a little cheaper with no dress code. Don't really fancy a tie in the heat but is it worth it?
Asy tips gratefully received.

Our best days in the championship have been 2 up front, you can't do it in the premiership but here you can. When Fleming returns he has to start in the hole behind Foster. It gives the dilemma of two from four in the middle, but will give far greater scope for opening teams up. Our defense if plent...

All this talk of Barnes, the one thing we really miss from him is his defensive qualities. He won many headers from set pieces. It's more alarming how poor we are at defending than worrying if Foster will be fit.

Set pieces

Last season this was our Achilles heel, it had to be addressed as we looked like conceding all the time and did. It's still not been addressed. A change in the way we pick up players? To many free headers. I appreciate we are a small side, but we have to be more physical.

Many have given Beyer a good rating, yet if you watch the first two, he fails to track Haaland on both. Quite basic error for me. I think he's a fantastic centre half and gets better every week. A harsh but good lesson learned.

We still need Obafemi, Barnes is out of contract in summer and not good enough for the premier. Foster will be our first choice, with Jay, Obafemi and Twine. Giving us the four strikers we need for a healthy squad. 9 subs next year. UTC

Sorry but he's yet to wow me. He looks a good player, as they both do, but I don't think he's been tested too much. Hard to compare to others, but I think unfortunately one of the Centre halves has to be replaced for the prem, just for ariel ability and presence.
