Re. The penalty. For me common sense should come into play and , if anything, the attacking players clear simulation (ie falling forward despite being ‘pulled back’) should count against him. It doesn’t. He falls forward because Anthony let go. I’m afraid the physics work in this particular instance.

Assuming the offside graphic to be accurate, the line is drawn to Foster's shoulder, being the most advanced part of his body that he can legally use, and it is further forward than any part of the defender's body that can be legally used.
